Bridgit Dengel Gaspard, LCSW
Bridgit Dengel Gaspard, LCSW, is an author, Founder of the New York Voice Dialogue Institute, has a thriving private practice and has been a Voice Dialogue Senior Facilitator and Trainer since 2006, supervised by her mentors, the developers Drs. Hal and Sidra Stone. The premise of Voice Dialogue is that our healthy personality consists of many different parts, also called inner selves, alter egos, sub-personalities and personas. Voice Dialogue is internationally recognized as a transformational somatic-based facilitation method that generates constructive change and promotes healthier life choices and engages broader creativity, cognitive flexibility and optimism. By experiencing and naming alter egos in a non-judgmental environment, this strengths-based intervention alleviates symptoms of depression, anxiety, mood swings, substance dependence, compulsions, eating disordered behavior and low self-esteem. The goal is never to eliminate an inner self, but to support integration and fostering a greater range of options when making and strategizing life choices. Voice Dialogue is also effective with relationships. This is covered in Level 2, with particular focus on healing destructive bonding patterns as a result of power struggles between some inner selves of each person. Benefits of Voice Dialogue include clear and innovative thinking, maintaining healthy boundaries as well as new behaviors after breaking a habit, self-acceptance, spontaneity, access to creativity, a sense of humor and authentic expression. For many, as the secret and powerful intentions of the inner selves are revealed, Voice Dialogue is the key to unsolved puzzles that have plagued their life. In 2020 New World Library published her book, The Final 8th: Enlist Your Inner Selves to Accomplish Your Goals. Bridgit is a former performer, so deep fun is always part of her workshops.
