Target Audience
This educational activity is intended for behavioral health professionals, including Psychologists, Social Workers, Counselors, and MFT's.
Event Learning Objectives
- Explain how Inner Selves develop through the life cycle.
- Identify 1 Primary Inner Self and 1 Disowned Inner Self.
- List 2 traits of a Primary Self and of a Disowned Self.
- Demonstrate shifting between using the first and third person (the pronoun “I” versus “They/He/She) when speaking as a Self, to differentiate this discrete part as separate from, and part of, the whole.
- Identify 2 compassionate reasons motivating dysfunctional behavior, from a Primary and a Disowned Self’s point of view.
